The retail sales of new energy passenger cars in China amounted to 202,000 units from 1-8 June, representing a 40% YoY growth and a penetration rate of 58.8%, demonstrating the continued expansion of the market and the strong penetration rate, according to a report released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). During the period, the wholesale volume of new energy passenger cars amounted to 166,000 units, up 5% YoY and down 6% MoM, with a penetration rate of 53.5%.
